Terms and Conditions
An e-Visa is only valid for a single journey to Tajikistan within the mentioned period as per the visa policy issued in the e-Visa, provided that the applicant's passport remains valid, and it is only for purposes of tourism and business trips. Once the applicant enters Tajikistan, they will be subject to Tajik laws.
Applicants are responsible to ensure that their stay in Tajikistan is well within the time period approved and stated in the e-Visa. The stay is not more than 60 days, and the visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. Applicants are also not allowed to accept any employment, or enroll into any education system, or represent the foreign information media during their stay in Tajikistan. A trip into the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region needs a separate single-entry permit, which this service does not replace.
All e-Visa applications are considered on individual merit, and the competent authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan have the right to seek additional information at any stage of processing. The fact that an application for a visa has been received by the e-Visa system does not guarantee that the e-Visa will be issued. The competent authorities reserve the right to refuse an e-Visa application without providing any reason. Applicants shall ensure that they hold a valid Tajikistan e-Visa before they travel to Tajikistan, and they may apply only while they are outside Tajikistan.
Applicants must submit their e-Visa applications at an appropriate time before travelling to Tajikistan. Apply about two weeks ahead. Under no circumstances will this site & E-Services be responsible or liable for any delay of travel arrangement as a result of an applicant's inappropriate action in regard to the time of submitting the visa application or the visa assessment result of the competent authorities.
Applicants must ensure that all information furnished by, or on behalf of the applicant for the e-Visa application is true and accurate. Any mistake or misinformation caused by the applicants, which results in rejection and re-application of the e-Visa, obliges the applicant to re-apply and pay for a new e-Visa application. Each traveler, including a child, needs their own passport and their own application.
An e-Visa may be revoked at any time and for any reason, such as new information influencing eligibility. Applicants may be subjected to administrative or criminal penalty if they knowingly and willfully make any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation in an electronic travel authorization application submitted by the applicant or on the applicant's behalf.
Applicants are required to make payments for the e-Visa processing fee and the consular fee in order to submit the e-Visa application. Additional fees may be imposed by the online payment gateway service provider for the online payment transactions made between the applicant and the authorized issuing banks. In the event the e-Visa application is officially declined by the authorities, a full refund is offered. In other cases, the visa fee is subject to refund on a case-to-case basis and the process of refunding may take up to 15–20 business days. However, the processing fee will not be refunded back to the applicants.
e-Visa applications are commonly processed in about three business days from the time the applicant has made payment and submitted the e-Visa application. The approval of an e-Visa application is under the sole discretion of the competent authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan, who also reserve the right to decline or reject an e-Visa application without providing any reason whatsoever.
The processing time also does not include unforeseen or uncontrollable events including, but not limited to, weekends, public holidays, system maintenance downtime, ISP equipment failure, host equipment failure, communications network failure, power failure, natural events or acts of war. Once the application has been reviewed, applicants will receive an email notification regarding the e-Visa application result. Application results may include the following statuses:
- SUBMITTED — The e-Visa application has been submitted for processing
- APPROVED — The e-Visa application has been approved
- REJECTED — The e-Visa application has been declined
The competent authorities have the right to reject any e-Visa applications without providing reasons of rejection. The competent authorities have the authority to decide whether an e-Visa will be issued or not, the type of e-Visa to be issued as well as its validity, duration of stay and number of entries in accordance with Tajikistan's relevant laws and regulations. Applicant is required to pay all the fees to E-Services regardless of the result of the application.
Issuance or approval of an e-Visa does not in any way guarantee the applicant the right to enter Tajikistan. The entry is at the sole discretion of the Tajikistan border officer at the entry point. In case of denial of visa or entry into Tajikistan by the border officer, E-Services shall not be liable to the applicant in any manner.
Applicants shall furnish the following proofs to the border officers at the entry/exit points:
