Lost or stolen passport
Report the loss to local police, then contact your embassy for an emergency travel document or replacement passport so you can leave Tajikistan.
This page lists foreign embassies and consulates located in Tajikistan so visitors can find their home-country mission quickly if they need help with a lost passport, emergency travel document, arrest, medical crisis or other consular matter.
All resident missions are in the capital, Dushanbe. Tajikistan e-Visa applications are completed online — your foreign embassy does not issue Tajik visas. Travelers heading into the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region should arrange the separate GBAO permit before they go.
If your country has no resident embassy here, check the nearest accredited mission in Astana, Almaty, Tashkent, New Delhi, Beijing or another regional capital on your government’s travel website.
Save your mission’s phone number before you travel. Use it for serious problems — not for hotel bookings or tour advice.
Report the loss to local police, then contact your embassy for an emergency travel document or replacement passport so you can leave Tajikistan.
Embassies can help locate hospitals, notify family and advise on medical evacuation. Always carry travel insurance that covers Tajikistan, including mountain regions.
Ask to contact your consular officer. Missions can visit detained citizens, explain local procedures and share lawyer lists — they cannot get you out of jail.
Tajikistan has seismic and weather-related risks in mountain areas. Register with your government if offered, follow embassy advisories, and keep phone credit and a charged power bank for updates.
Call local services first for immediate danger, then your embassy for consular follow-up.
Filter by region or search by country. The map and directory update together. Addresses and phones can change — confirm with the mission before visiting.
Markers are approximate city-area locations for traveler orientation. Confirm the street address before you travel. Pins are placed near the named street, not at surveyed entrances.

Contact your embassy or consulate in Dushanbe for lost or stolen passports, serious medical emergencies, arrest or legal trouble, natural disasters, or when you need emergency travel documents. For routine tourism questions and Tajikistan e-Visa applications, use the online e-Visa service and local tourist information first.
Many nationalities are covered by a non-resident embassy in Astana, Almaty, Tashkent, New Delhi, Beijing or another nearby capital, or by an honorary consulate. Check your government’s travel website for the mission accredited to Tajikistan, and keep that emergency number saved offline.
No. Tajikistan e-Visa applications are processed online through the official electronic visa system. Your foreign embassy cannot issue or approve a Tajikistan e-Visa, but it can help with your own passport if it is lost, damaged or expired while you are abroad. A trip into the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region also needs a separate GBAO permit, which embassies do not issue.
Most missions keep daytime consular hours and publish a separate emergency or after-hours line for citizens in distress. Call the main number listed, follow the recorded instructions for emergencies, or check your government’s official travel site for the current duty phone.
Book an appointment if required, bring your passport (or police report if it was stolen), photocopies or digital scans of identity documents, proof of citizenship, and any police or medical reports related to your case. Confirm address and opening hours the day before you travel to the mission.
