Apply for a Tajikistan e-Visa

Tourism or business, for a stay of up to 60 days. Have the passport and photo ready, then continue to the form.

What happens next

The form takes about 15 to 20 minutes. You can apply only while you are outside Tajikistan. One form for each traveler, including each child. Use the passport you will carry.

  1. Choose tourism or business

Select your nationality, then the purpose of the visit. Work, study, and residence use a visa from a Tajik mission.

  2. Enter the trip and passport

Give the dates and the border point. Type the name and passport number exactly as printed, then upload the portrait and biodata scan.

  3. Pay and wait for the email

The total is shown before you pay. Processing commonly takes about three business days. The approval arrives by email.

Have these ready

The portrait and the biodata scan are two files. Both must be clear enough to read, and both must belong to the traveler named on the form.

  • The visit is tourism or business, and the stay is inside 60 days.
  • The name, date of birth, and passport number match the biodata page.
  • The portrait and the scan are in the correct fields, and both are readable.
  • A GBAO permit is added when the route enters Gorno-Badakhshan.
  • The email address can receive the approval.

A refused application is not corrected in place. A new form is required. Apply about two weeks ahead so there is time to fix a passport detail.

At the border

Carry the approved e-Visa with the same passport named on it. A copy on your phone or on paper helps if the border system is unavailable. Holders may enter through the border points open to them, including Dushanbe International Airport and Khujand International Airport.

Enter on a date inside the 90-day validity, and on or after the date printed on the visa. The GBAO permit is separate, and you enter that region on the date shown on the permit.

Questions

How long does the Tajikistan e-Visa form take?

Most people finish in about 15 to 20 minutes when the passport, portrait, and travel dates are ready. Processing after payment commonly takes about three business days. Apply about two weeks before you travel.

Can I apply for a Tajikistan e-Visa after I arrive?

No. Submit the form while you are outside Tajikistan. Work, study, and residence are not covered by this e-Visa. Those need a visa from a Tajik mission.

What files do I upload?

Upload a recent colour portrait in the photo field and a separate scan of the passport biodata page. Each file can be JPEG, PNG, or GIF, under 3 MB. Do not use the same file in both fields, and do not upload a PDF for those two fields.

Does a child need a separate application?

Yes. Each traveler, including each child, needs their own passport, portrait, biodata scan, and e-Visa. A child is not added to a parent's form.

Where do I see the fee?

The published amounts are on the fees page. The total for your application, including a GBAO permit when you add one, is shown before you pay.

How do I check the application after I submit it?

Use the reference number on the status page, or the email and passport number from the form. The approved e-Visa is sent by email. Carry it with the same passport.
