Please note: The e-Visa stay is up to 60 days. The visa is valid for 90 days. Apply while you are outside Tajikistan. If the same nationality is also on a visa-exemption list below, use an e-Visa only when the trip is longer than that exemption. Travel to Gorno-Badakhshan needs a separate permit.

Visa exemption

These ordinary passports may enter Tajikistan without an e-Visa for the stay shown. Do not collect an e-Visa fee when the trip fits inside that stay. An e-Visa is only for a longer tourist or business visit, up to 60 days, and only if the nationality is also on the e-Visa list above.

Questions

Which countries can apply for a Tajikistan e-Visa?

Only the nationalities on the official evisa.tj Country of citizenship list can start an e-Visa. That list is on this page. If the passport is not there, do not pay for an e-Visa — use a Tajik mission instead.

Which countries have a Tajikistan visa exemption?

See the separate 30-day, 14-day, and longer visa-exemption sections on this page. Do not pay for an e-Visa when the trip fits inside that exemption. An e-Visa stay is up to 60 days, and only if the nationality is also on the official apply list.

Do British citizens need a Tajikistan e-Visa?

Yes. The United Kingdom is on the official apply list and is not visa-exempt. Apply before you travel.

Do United States citizens need a Tajikistan e-Visa?

Not for a stay of up to 30 days. The United States is visa-exempt for that stay, and it is also on the official apply list. Use an e-Visa only for a tourist or business stay of 31 to 60 days.

Can I use an e-Visa if my country is visa-exempt?

Yes, only if that nationality is also on the official apply list, and the trip is longer than the exemption and still within 60 days, for tourism or business. Apply while you are outside Tajikistan. If the name is only on the visa-exemption list, this service cannot file an e-Visa.
