Tourist visit
Sightseeing, family visits, and other short leisure travel. A single-entry or multiple-entry visa can be requested.
The Tajikistan e-Visa is an official document that permits entry and travel in Tajikistan. It is issued for short stays only, up to 60 days, and for tourism and business. You can apply only while you are outside Tajikistan. It is an alternative to a visa issued by a Tajik mission or at a port of entry.
This website is a private application-assistance service. It is not the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and it is not endorsed by the Government of Tajikistan.
You complete one form per traveler, pay the consular fee by card, and receive the approved e-Visa by email, with a link to download it. Carry the same passport named on the visa. Keep a copy on your phone or on paper in case the border system is unavailable.
The visa covers a short visit for tourism or business. A separate single-entry permit is added when the trip includes the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
Eligibility depends on nationality. Some nationalities have extra requirements, which are shown after you choose your nationality and travel dates.
You can use this form when:
A longer stay, employment, study, or another purpose needs a visa from a Tajik mission. The e-Visa does not by itself authorize employment.
The e-Visa has a validity window for your first entry, and a separate limit on how long you may remain in Tajikistan.
| Aspect | Details |
|---|---|
| Validity | The e-Visa is valid for 90 days. You must enter within that period. You may enter on any date inside the validity window. |
| Stay | The stay is not more than 60 days. Leave before the stay and the visa expire. |
| Earlier entry | Entry earlier than the date printed on the e-Visa needs a new application. |
| Entry type | A single-entry or multiple-entry visa can be requested for tourism or business. |
| GBAO permit | Single entry, and only for the date shown on the permit. It is required in addition to the e-Visa. |
Overstaying can lead to a fine, deportation, or a ban on future travel to Tajikistan. Check the dates printed on the approval before you travel.
Prepare these before you start. Details on the form must match the passport exactly.
Some nationalities are asked for more documents after the nationality and dates are chosen. A business visit may also need proof of the trip, such as tickets, accommodation, or an invitation. A GBAO permit is requested with the e-Visa when the route enters that region.
The e-Visa is for tourism and business. A permit for the Pamirs is requested with it when you will enter Gorno-Badakhshan.
Sightseeing, family visits, and other short leisure travel. A single-entry or multiple-entry visa can be requested.
Meetings and other short business travel. The e-Visa does not by itself authorize employment.
Required in addition to the e-Visa for Gorno-Badakhshan, including Khorog, Darvoz, Vanj, Rushon, Ishkoshim, and Murghob. It is single entry.
Read the tourist visa and business visa pages before you choose a type.
Apply about two weeks ahead, while you are still outside Tajikistan. Additional requirements can depend on nationality and travel dates, so a last-minute request leaves little time to correct a passport detail or add a document.
The procedure page sets out the same steps in order.
You pay a consular fee by card. A separate permit fee is added when you will enter GBAO. This website also charges an assistance fee. The total is shown before you pay, and it is charged per traveler.
Tajik missions publish the consular fee as USD 30 for single entry, USD 50 for multiple entry, and USD 20 for the GBAO permit. Payments are not refunded for a denied, cancelled, or unused e-Visa, or for an unused GBAO permit.
Have the passport, a portrait photo, and a card ready. Complete the form from outside Tajikistan.
Select tourism or business, and your nationality. Use one form for each traveler, including each child.
Give the intended arrival and departure dates and the border point. Add a GBAO permit when the route enters Gorno-Badakhshan.
Enter the name, date of birth, and passport number exactly as printed. Upload a clear biodata-page scan and a portrait photo.
Check every field against the passport, then pay by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. You receive a reference number for the application.
After approval, the e-Visa is emailed with a link to download it. Carry that file, or a printed copy, with the same passport.
After you submit, you can check the application with the reference number.
Check the spam folder if the message has not arrived. If it is still missing, use the reference number on the contact page.
Carry the same passport named on the e-Visa, and a digital or printed copy of the approval.
A refused or invalid application is not corrected in place. A new application is required, and the earlier fee is not returned.
Read the approval as soon as it arrives. If it does not match the passport, do not travel on it.
